6 Simple Steps to go from “Coming Soon” to Accepting Orders (in less than 24-hours)!
It’s about time we switch up between the casual updates and empowering blog posts, and share with you something a little more informative.
I recently connected with one of our #SouledOut clients, and sometime after defining lifelong goals and developing her business, she let me know that her website has been lingering in the “Coming Soon” state for a while.
What a way to trigger my inspiration!😃
I know there’s this stigma around building websites, and how notoriously boring or extensive it can be. I, on the other hand, LOVE and am professionally skilled at Building Websites. I’ve developed and launched at least twenty unique online platform, in which a vast majority have been for foreign clients over the last four and a half years. It’s a fun creative challenge for me to design businesses and the corresponding platforms. So, I’m always looking to learn more about exciting and simplifying the process.
Obviously, if you have experience and knowledge in any field in life, you start instructing people who don’t know about it in a way that reflects your experience. But what if you’re someone who has no prior experience, and just wants to build a decent website without programming, overwhelming themselves, or paying someone?
It took me some time to develop my skills and learn what pages or criteria were vital for my website.
So, here it is, babies!
Your Quick, immersive guide to building a website that is informative and set up, so you can go from “Coming Soon” to Accepting Orders in 24-Hours or Less!
Step 1: Your Home Page or Landing Site
Whether you want a full website, or a simple one-page funnel for your business; you’re going to need your Home Page as the initial meeting point for all future interactions. Your main page should include your main Headlines, a Photo or Video that represents you or your business (product, or service).
Step 2: Shop Page or List of Services
When it comes to transitioning between “Coming Soon” and Ready to Prosper you need to have a direct and call-to-action link on your brand’s Shop page.
This should be your list of product(s) or service(s), that will make your platform an income. Do you have a list of products or services that your audience can purchase?
Step 3: About you/your business
This is your Company info page. Your statement and mission are deliberate, and you share details about your business (and you as the creator.)
You can use Pictures, stories, and other media to convey your message. Just be sure to include the important answered questions and what your clients need to know about you.
Step 4: Contact
Speaks for itself. Make sure that any potential clients can have direct access to you, and have your contact information for their inquiries. Your contact page should mainly provide Social links and a business email. Any further information is upon your discretion.
Step 5: Blog (Optional)
Add as many of your free, creative works to your blog as possible. This is your proof of credibility and what will drive clients to check in on you.
Step 6: Simple Navigation
Your navigation is what pulls everything together, and gives your website clear direction to all your pages. This is your menu, or your navigation. Adding the navigation to your online page makes it clear to your viewers that you have more pages, and that the information they’re looking for is in a set place. This makes it much easier and clearer to navigate.
It’s that simple. Obviously, you’ll have to fill in the blanks. Determine your headlines and pictures, what your business is, and what you’re all about it. But, see it as the fun part. It’s doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
